Small and fragile on the first sight, but also brave, honest and so beautiful, Pomeranian dogs make lovely family pets. If you are interested in buying one of these lovely little things, you will probably find a Pomeranian for sale at some good breeder somewhere close to your place of living, because these dogs are really popular and highly appreciated.

They have really characteristic appearance. Little, foxy nose, prickled ears and nice, thick double coat, all these things make him adorable. This dog has strong-willed mind, brave heart and affectionate manners, and he will absolutely respect you, if you teach him to do so. On the other hand, other people won't be respected equally.

Most small breeds tend to become a sort of spoiled if you allow them to. It's quite important to be consistent when it comes to your pet, and to set some basic rules as soon as it is possible, to avoid future issues. If not, this little dog might start seeing himself as a boss in your home, and you might not like it so much.

Why it is actually common problem especially with toy breeds is not hard to guess. They are so delightful that it is almost impossible to say no to them, especially to puppies. As a result, they start to feel like they are the bosses, and in their opinion, you should act accordingly. Set some rules and stick to them, kindly but consistently.

Pomeranian would like to be a guard dog, by all means. He will be alerted and notify you about people approaching your home, usually by barking. Well, constant barking might become a real problem. Start dealing with barking right away, when your puppy is still very young. It will be difficult to sort out later on.

Pomeranian dogs have lovely, thick double coats that require regular care. They shed constantly, and they change their soft undercoats twice a year. Daily combing and brushing will take care of this. They don't have many health issues, but regular vet checks are required. Another thing you should do regularly is checking and cleaning their ears and eyes.

Avoid bathing if you can. Dry shampooing is always much better option. These small dogs are under three kilograms and come in various lovely colors and color combinations, for example, red, white, tan, brown, black, wolf sable and orange. All color variations usually have almond sized dark eyes.

Pomeranian puppies are extremely small and fragile. Even when you think your children are really careful, it's not a very good idea to leave them together unsupervised. It takes just a second to harm this little thing, and you should take care of him. Such small dogs are much safer with adults.

They are perfectly suited for apartment living. Even so, as all other dogs, they need to go to at least one walk a day, although, if you have a house with properly fenced yard, it will be more than enough for your dog to fulfill his needs for walking and running, maybe once or twice a day. Keep in mind that small dogs are fragile and need to be under constant supervision.
