Main Differences Of Residential Roofing And Atlanta Commercial Roofing

By Andrew B. Spates

When most people talk about roofs, they would usually imagine the roof of a normal house in the suburban areas. However, roofs are not just for residential areas. In fact, Atlanta Commercial Roofing is a really in demand service because most residential buildings need proper roofs in order to protect the interior.

Of course, those who maintain or own office buildings have to know the difference between the two types of roof handling because they are vastly different. Just because one knows how to handle house roofs does not mean he or she also knows how to handle office building roofs. To shed a little more light on the subject, here are some of the main differences between the two.

Now, one of the main and most obvious differences between the two types of roof handling would be the material used for both. If one has done home roof jobs before, he will know that the materials used for these types of roofs are either concrete or asphalt. Offices, on the other hand, would have roofs that have a series of different materials to choose from.

With regard to options, office buildings have more to choose from than residential roofs. The reason being that office buildings are much bigger and would need stronger protection as compared to houses. That is why there are many choices to choose from.

Installation of the two roofs is also a big difference. For the typical residential house, installation would usually take just around one or two days depending on how wide the scope of project is. Office buildings though, would have roofs that need weeks or even months to finish completing because of the bigger size required.

Other than time frame, office roofs are also a little more complex to handle as compared to regular house roofs. This is because the size greatly differs so the method of installation is a bit harder to do for office roofs. This is also one of the main reasons as to why it takes so long to install office roofs.

As one can see, the overall handling of an office roof is actually more complex than that of a residential house roof. This is because of the various requirements that are usually needed for an office building. Since the needs of the roofing system of an office are much more than that of an ordinary house, installation and maintenance is more complex, may take longer, and have many more factors to take into consideration.
