Some people tend to imagine that they can keep a pet without their landlord noticing. This is not a good idea, as in case the landlord gets to know, and may be evicts you, you and your lovely puppy will be homeless. It is important to know your landlords perception towards pets before buying one. Consider if you can really afford keeping a puppy. The fact is that puppies are not cheap to keep. You will need to pay vet bills, professional training, food and even a dog walker. Some people are allergic to dogs. If you are one of such person, consider looking for the type of breeds that do not cause allergic conditions. However, do not take chances, before you buy a dog; consider trying to live with it first. This will help you know how your body reacts due to the presence of the dog.

If the people you live with are not friendly to dogs, consider an alternative. This is because; like hymen beings, puppies require love and attention. You cannot afford to have people who yell to your puppy. Remember the pet may also chew or pee on your roommates items. If he or she detests pets, chances are that the pet may be severally punished.
