Goldendoodles are one of the most lovable types of dogs. They are a mixture of poodle and golden retriever. They are known for being intelligent, trainable, sociable, non aggressive, friendly, and are extremely intuitive. Their being intelligent and being trainable are the reasons of why they are suited to being a guide, therapy, and service dogs. So may be you would wonder of what are the differences between the service dog and the therapy dog.

The therapy dogs are those that are trained so they can provide affection and comfort to people in the retirement homes, hospitals, disaster areas, nursing homes, schools, hospices, and even to those people who have autism. These are not considered as a service dog, but they can be if ever they are provided with the proper training. While the service dogs are those that are trained so they can perform tasks and help those people who have disabilities. So this article will be giving you some ideas and reasons about goldendoodles for service and therapy dogs.

Most people usually think that these animals are the types that are suited only for people having an impairment in their visual senses. But currently, purposes of these have expanded already in many different areas. Aside from impairment in visual senses, other purposes are assisting the person with autism, with disability, with anxiety order, and with diabetes.

There are many benefits in which a person can get when having these animals, specifically to persons, such as your families and friends who are having autism. The benefits are proved to be remarkable. The dogs will assist them to complete their tasks daily and also in preventing unnecessary actions of a person in situations when he or she feels overwhelmed. The following are things to be considered.

First, the sensory issues. These animals are being trained in order to aid the children with autism, specifically for sensory issues. So whenever a child becomes overwhelmed in a crowded place or noisy stores for example, the dog can let the child calm down.

But aside from the sensory issues, there are some other factors that need to be reviewed and take into consideration. First is thinking whether the child has a sensitive skin when holding some rough textures or surfaces like animal furs. Second is thinking whether the child is sensitive to loud noises, thus, minimizing the barks during the training is important.

Second, the cost. These types can be quite expensive due to the some trainings that would prepare them for working. Some useful ways for this is try to approach some friends and families for donations or may organize events for fund raising. You may approach some organizations to help on this.

Third, the specific needs of a child. It would be important that what your child needs should be the thing or things that are to be addressed during the training. So it is important that you should be specific on what to train for the dog.

Fourth is preparing the home. These breeds are said to be the super heroes. But to have them in the home needs preparation since you will have remove and clean the odor and dirt to protect the family on allergies. You will also need to provide them with food and pay for their vet. So having this can greatly affect you and your home.
