By Ryan Bailey

Most of homeowners love having pets around as they are good company for the kids to play with. However, having them around can result to unavoidable situations such as pungent smell coming from them. To try and keep it in the minimum, Pet Odor Removal Mt Kisco is supposed to be something that you practice daily.

Some of the parts of these animals are a great source for the bad odor. For instance, the ear canals and the surrounding area of the dog and cat. If you are keen enough to take a look at the ear canal, you may notice a lot of dirt clogged in there and with the presence of bacteria, they react to produce a very strong smell which makes people uncomfortable.

The skin plays a key role in protection of the body from pathogens. However, in the process, it may result to the production of a strong smell due to the presence of yeast and bacteria. When these two components exceed their normal percentage, or there is presence of fecal matter on the skin, the dog or cat is bound to smell.

The other source of the bad odor is the mouth. Animals cannot be in a position to always keep their mouth clean through taking enough water and brushing their teeth as we do. When they take their meals, at times food particles remain stuck in their gums and lip folds, which later lead to some bacterial infection that produce the bad odor especially for dogs that eat a lot of onions and garlic.

To keep the smell off from your home, you should practice proper hygiene at all times. This involves a lot of cleaning, making sure that the surfaces in our home are properly dusted to keep off the fur that falls off from the pets. You should also do a lot of vacuuming and moping of the floors with the use of enough detergents that will keep the smell off.

The next thing is to clean your animals on a regular basis. This involves you washing it daily with the use of soaps and shampoos meant for animals. Cleaning pets is mandatory as it helps regulate the bacteria and yeast content on the skin of the animal so that it cannot lead to more smells. Therefore, make a point of keeping the dogs and cats clean and dry at all times to also prevent the stench.

Normally, animal keepers have to keep accessories such as litter boxes around the compound and some in the house to avoid them pooping all over the place. However, the litter box needs to be placed in strategic places which will not allow the odor from it to disturb people around. Ensure the boxes are scooped often and kept clear of the fecal matter at all times.

Try to de-odorize your surfaces such as floors and carpets as well as the room. Try using air fresheners and airing the room often. The fact that you allow your dog or cats to be indoors requires you to let air in as much as possible.
