cat ailments: Balls, balls, balls. And one set of ovaries.

Vet Gede from Lombok came to visit today. We had a tiny clinic at Eden Cottages (hooray for Eden for letting us use their premises!) and some cats got sterilized (de-sexed, or neutered, or spayed or whatever you call it)!

One huuuuge wild male cat that hangs around Eden will wake up later to find his big balls gone. As will little Damien Marley, Marli's aka Bob Marley's ginger brother (oh, Marli how I still miss you!). And a mommycat from Trawangan Oasis got rid of her ovaries, so the kittens she is raising now will be her last.

All cats are still asleep, inside a bathroom at Eden. They will stay there for a while, I'm sure. I won't let them out until they are awake and totally sober.

Poor things! But their lives will be some much easier and calmer from now on.
